Two numbers, each with its source
Melt value
The gold, silver, platinum or palladium in the item, priced at the current spot price. Example: a US quarter dated 1964 or earlier contains 0.1808 troy oz of silver.
Collector estimate
For coins: a value range by condition, built from recent public sales and listings. Each range lists its sources and date. When no recent sales are found, Doubloon says so and shows the melt value.
Both are estimates. They are not appraisals or offers.

An inherited collection
Know what it's worth before anyone makes you an offer. Photograph the front and back of a coin to see what it is and its melt value. With Doubloon Pro, see a collector range for each coin, with the sales it came from.
A silver or gold stack
Add bars, rounds and bullion coins by product, or scan them. Doubloon values your stack at live spot prices and shows how much it changed today.
Gold jewelry
Know the gold value of that chain before the pawn shop names a price. Photograph the hallmark, enter the weight in grams, and see the gold it contains at the current spot price. Plated marks get no gold value.
Your pocket change
Some dates, mint marks and varieties of the same coin sell for much more than the rest. Doubloon lists the known ones for each US coin type and shows where to look. It can't confirm a variety from a photo.

Your vault, valued every day
Add what you own once. Doubloon values it at live gold, silver, platinum and palladium prices and shows how much it changed today, with the split between metal value and collector premium.
